Meatballs

1 pound spaghetti
1 pound ground beef
3/4 cup plain dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh parsley
1 egg
1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 or 2 (24-ounce) jars pasta sauce

Cook the spaghetti according to the package directions; drain.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients except the pasta sauce; mix well.
Form the mixture into 12 meatballs then brown the meatballs in a large pot over medium-high heat.
Add the pasta sauce, reduce the heat to medium-low, and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the meatballs are no longer pink. Serve the meatballs and sauce over the spaghetti.
