KRAUT MIXTURE
Hamburger
Onion
Cabbage
Cook hamburger with onions. Slice cabbage thinly and stir into hamburger. Cover until cabbage is part way cooked. This will be placed in bread.
BREAD MIXTURE
1 cake yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
2 cups milk
4 tablespoons melted shortening
6 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons salt
Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm milk. Add shortening and half of the flour. Beat until perfectly smooth. Add salt and the remainder of the flour. Knead wall and place in greased bowl. Cover, let rise until double in bulk. Poke down. Cut piece off and roll very thin, cut in squares. Fill with hamburger and kraut mixture, fold over like for apple dumplings. Put on cookie sheet, bake until done.
