Crock Pot Chicken Noodle Soup

1/2 Onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, sliced
2 carrots, sliced
1/2 tsp pepper
3 tsp salt
1 tsp basil
1 tsp thyme
4-5 cups water or chicken stock
whole fryer 2 1/2-3 lbs
2-3 cups uncooked pasta noodles

Put everything, except noodles, into crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours. An hour before serving, remove the chicken and let it cool. Remove the meat from the chicken and put back into crock pot. Add noodles and cook on high for one hour.
